⭐ ‘One Battle After Another’ & ‘Sinners’ led the way at the Oscars with 6 & 4 wins respectively. Here are the headlines you need to know:
Autumn Durald Arkapaw (Sinners) is the first woman to win Best Cinematography, and was only the 3rd to ever be nominated.
Miles Caton landed the role of Sammie Moore in Sinners with no prior professional acting experience. He learned to play blues guitar in two months prior to filming and performed live on stage last night. Iconic,
Timothée Chalamet left completely empty handed 2 years in a row despite being nominated 17 times.
Jessie Buckley was the first Irish woman to ever win Best Actress
Michael B. Jordan celebrated his first Best Actor win at In-N-Out (legendary move reminiscent of Vanity Fair’s iconic Mark Guiducci moment (IYKYK)
Ludwig Goransson has now won 3 Oscars for Best Original Score, leaving only Alan Menken and John Williams with more
Warner Bros. Discovery took home 11 Oscars, tying the number for the most wins ever by a studio in one night

⭐ LA City Council approved a vote to reconsider Casey Wasserman’s role as the Chair of the LA28 Olympics
Considering the public fallout of his agency, and that the vote in Council passed 12-0 — this was bound to happen.
⭐ Seaview launches a TV division with former A24 Exec Jess Lubben
Lubben’s credits include 6 years at A24 including season 1 of ‘Euphoria,’ and Seaview also revealed they have secured a first look deal with Fifth Season, the production company for ‘Severance.’
⭐ Ice Cube was the big winner of ‘The Razzies’ with ‘War of the Worlds’ bringing home 5
WTF are ‘The Razzies’?? Well they are the antithesis to the Oscars, and a committee of 1,223 members select the worst performances of the year.
Disney is replacing the role of their new CEO, Josh D’Amaro, with Thomas Mazloum who will now be the Chairman of Disney Experiences.
Sony Pictures lost their two Heads of the Unscripted Division, and Katherine Pope is ‘expanding her oversight’ to take on those duties as the acting President of the TV arm of the company.
Variety promoted Jamie Aronson to VP of Event Production, which includes over 100 events around the world.
