1) The bundle is getting unbundled

YouTube TV is adding 10 Genre-specific subscription plans. These will be cheaper, but more targeted.

Why this matters:

-SPORTS. By carving out a dedicated sports plan (with every ESPN feed), YouTube makes itself the default home for the only content that still forces real-time viewing and the only thing keeping linear TV alive.

-YouTube TV is projected to become the largest overall pay-TV distributor soon

With 10M+ subs and NFL Sunday Ticket as its anchor, the path to passing Comcast and Charter is inevitable.

Fun fact: More people watch YouTube on their TVs than their phones.

Takeaway: Remember when we complained about the cost of cable? Sorry about that..

2) Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams will Co-Chair Met Gala 2026

The host committee includes Teyana Taylor, Doja Cat, Sabrina Carpenter, Zoë Kravitz, and more.

3) On the topic of Teyana Taylor…reminder that she received her first Golden Globe AND Grammy nominations in the same year. Legend.

4) Top Touring Artist of the Millennium

The Artist with the most public cheating scandals happening at a show? Also Coldplay with (1) one.

5) ROSTR dropped a Grammy’s Voter Guide for 2026 to make navigating the over 1,000 nominees easier for you.

6) TikTok crowned KATSEYE as their Global Artist of the Year for 2025.

Since forming in 2024, they have amassed over 30 billion (with a b) views, KATSEYE is also up for 2 Grammy awards including Best New Artist, and will play at Coachella in April.

Tim Sweeney, the Founder of Fortnite, has spent $200 million on 40,000 acres in North Carolina to help preserve nature trails and reserves.

Reminder that even when you accumulate massive amounts of wealth through success in entertainment, you can in fact use it for good.

Flashback to when Billie Eilish donated nearly $12 million of her tour profits earlier this year. Lot of negative news in Entertainment, but a reminder that great things are happening in the world.

  1. WME appointed Rob Markus as new Head of the International Music Team. The announcement was made by Lucy Dickens, as well as by my old boss Kirk Sommer (who did a great interview with us this year). Markus has been with WME for 20 years though, and was most recently a Senior Partner.

  2. AMC Networks hired Annie Luo as their new President of Streaming Growth. She’s leaving her post at NBCUniversal’s Peacock where she served as the Head of Global Partnerships & Strategic Development.

  3. Atlantic Music Group promoted Dave Rocco to Chief Creative Officer. His last role was as President of Creative, and he will continue to report to CEO Elliot Grainge.

  4. Warner Music Group poached Craig Kallman to become their new Chief Music Officer. The move follows his 35-years at Atlantic Records where he was Chairman and CEO for nearly 2 decades.

  5. Disney brings on former Apple COO Jeff Willians to their Board of Directors.

Every week we drop our favorite podcast & book recs.

Today we have comedian Katt Williams on IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson. They talk about making it in entertainment + his journey of finding comedy “by accident.”

This is a great watch or listen for anyone who is at a pivotal moment in their career. Katt Williams has had an amazing life and story that will inspire, motivate, and change your definition of success.

Another awesome convo facilitated by the team at Central Talent Booking.
