A Hershey Chocolate movie is set for 2026 with the “Mean Girls” director (no this isn’t a scene from The Studio). Are we, as Hollywood, out of ideas? I’m open to eating my words though as the Minecraft Movie just scored $163 million domestically, and $313 million globally, the best debut ever for a video game adaptation.
On to more serious news..
JK one more: Sabrina Carpenter officially joins Fortnite for festival season 8.
Happy Coachella week to all those who celebrate. In a surprise announcement, Weezer (W1) and Ed Sheeran (W2) are playing 3pm surprise slots on Saturday of each weekend?? Never thought I’d see that. FKA Twigs is also out due to Visa issues.
The much-anticipated ‘The White Lotus’ season 3 finale brought it 6.2 Million viewers, a 30% jump from the record set last week (4.8 million viewers). The season finale represented a 51% increase from Season 2 finale and 158% increase from the Season 3 premiere.

Tariffs and your blood pressure ain’t the only thing rising:

Despite concert tix nearly doubling in the past decade (and the economy is shambles), Live Nation has said it expects the live-music industry to continue to break records in 2025. Proof? Ticketmaster had 70% more traffic this February than last according to Sensor Tower, a data firm.

Jesse Eisenberg originally offered Kieran Culkin’s Oscar-winning role in ‘A Real Pain’ to…. Eric André. André turned it down because the role sounded “miserable, and not in his lane.”
In similar news, Woody Harrelson turned down a starring role in ‘The White Lotus’ due to a family vacation. Honestly… respect….but a 7 month vacation in Thailand sounds pretty nice too. (Yes I know actors and crew work very hard).
Disney has paused the development of Tangled, after the bomb that Snow White was (at the box office and the controversy outside of it).
Vimeo wants to help every creator ‘launch their own Netflix.’ Their latest endeavor, Vimeo Streaming, will enable creators to build out their own subscription services and apps. Other features include access to live events and merchandise, as well as a host of other tools.
