AvA EVENT ANNOUNCEMENT: We're building a very real rage room in a movie theater for one night only.

To celebrate the release of SEND HELP starring Rachel McAdams & Dylan O’Brien, we are hosting 250 fans at The Culver Theater in L.A. this Thursday Jan 15.

15 lucky attendees will be randomly selected to go through a real rage room built inside the theater to blow off some steam from being back at work after the Holidays.

1) AvA & The Globes surprised an assistant with a Golden Globes experience last night:

-I feel very blessed to have been invited to some cool events the past year all stemming from launching a meme page. Makes no sense, but I’ve always wanted to surprise an Assistant with an invite to an Award Show. We surprised Claire, who is an incredibly hard working assistant on our agent team at UTA, to experience the Golden Globes like talent. Check out her hilarious IG story takeover. She may steal my job.

-At just 16, Adolescence star Owen Cooper became the youngest ever winner in the Golden Globes' supporting TV actor category. He broke Chris Colfer’s 2010 record and is now the second youngest male Globe winner of all time. Cooper thanked his drama class roots. He deserves all his flowers.

-Amy Poehler took home the first-ever Golden Globe for Best Podcast, beating heavyweights like Smartless, Call Her Daddy, and NPR’s Up First.

-Seth Rogen won his first Golden Globe for The Studio and joked it felt like déjà vu. In the Apple TV comedy, his character fakes attending an awards show, now he’s doing it for real. “I thought the only way I’d get to hold one is to create a whole show,” (AvA in Season 2?)

2) David Ellison “praised” Paramount staff after first full week of mandatory in-office work

3) Universal Music signed a deal with Nvidia

They are creating “responsible AI” and aiming to reduce AI slop. Hot take: any song created purely via AI tools is AI slop by definition. Read more.

Katie Anderson just landed at Black Bear as executive VP of acquisitions, reporting to U.S. releasing president Benjamin Kramer. She’ll steer up to 12 theatrical releases a year, aiming for a mix of director-led, action, and genre films.
Jimmy Zasowski has been promoted to president of platform distribution for Disney and ESPN, where he’ll lead global strategy and monetization for Disney+, Hulu, ABC, and more.
Brandon Shaw is teaming up with Seven Letter to co-lead its new L.A. office. The PR vet sold his firm, B. Shaw Communications, after stints at Disney, Hulu, WME, and the Obama White House. He’ll run the Hollywood shop alongside ex-Herbalife comms chief Casey Hernandez.
Andrea Scarso is now Managing Partner at IPR.VC stepping up from his role as Partner and Investment Director. Co-founder Timo Argillander shifts to Executive Chairman after a strong 2025, which included co-producing Marty Supreme
Dina Powell McCormick is now president and vice chairman of Meta, stepping in to shape the company’s AI and infrastructure push. The former Trump adviser will lead global strategy and court government partnerships.
