🐝 Looping You In (6 things you need to know)

1) Apple Music released a list of the 500 most streamed songs from their first decade. Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ was the most streamed song. Drake had the most songs on the list with 27, and Taylor Swift had the second most with 14.

2) ‘F1: The Movie’ is officially Apple’s biggest film of all time after just 10 days. The movie recently overtook ‘Napoleon’ for the top spot (which sat at $221 million), and it did so by racing quick off the starting line to $293 million globally.

3) AI music company Suno, hired former Atlantic Records GM Paul Sinclair as Chief Music Officer. Why is this a big deal? A very quick timeline:

• The major labels sued them (as well as Udio, another AI firm) (June, 2024)

• Suno admits to training on copyrighted music, insists its legal (August, 2024)

• The labels are now in talks to license music to Suno & Udio, which would end their case (June, 2025)

• They hire one of the biggest names in music (Yesterday)

• People are mad (always)

4) The Hollywood Walk of Fame released their class of 2026 list. Timothée Chalamet and Miley Cyrus, to Gordon Ramsey and Shaquille O’Neal. AvA star soon?

5) Netflix’s surprise hit ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ has found it’s way onto the Billboard charts. The soundtrack managed to debut at #8 on the Billboard 200, and two singles from the film also landed on the Billboard 100 at #77 & #81 respectively.

🏊‍♂️ Deeper Dive: The film also reached the top 10 on Netflix in all 93 countries that track this metric, and it reached #1 in 33 of them. Not too shabby.

6) Oasis returned to the stage for the first time in 5,795 days this past weekend. That marks the end of a 16-year hiatus for the band. And if you’re wondering, Liam Gallagher did in fact mention the ticket-pricing debacle by jokingly asking fans, “Are you all having a good time? Was it worth the £40,000 you spent on the ticket?”
