A tip on how to differentiate yourself in a competitive industry:
“Focus on your 5-to-9 as much as you do on your 9-to-5. What you are passionate about, and take part in outside of work can set yourself apart in the hiring process and over the course of your career. Pick up a new hobby or go volunteer with one of the many entertainment related non-profits. Build a resume that isn’t purely focused on where you interned, or what your GPA was, but instead one that highlights a unique person with skills outside of their job. Who knows… a side gig could become your main gig one day.”

2024: Lower ticket prices and more concerts
The average resale ticket price to attend a concert this year is $224, down from $269 around this time last year according to SeatGeek.
That resale price is still well above its pre-Pandemic figure of $125 in 2019.
The same report notated that there are 11% more U.S. concerts in 2024 compared to 2023.
2024: Unprecedented tour revenue
The top 10 tours grossed a collective $1.5b, up 83% from last year’s figure of $814m, according to Billboard
Only two tours last year had generated $100M at the midyear mark (Elton John and Harry Styles). Eight of them have this year:
