SoundCloud launches SoundCloud Store, an Artist merch platform that gives 100% of the profits to the artist.

Facebook parent company Meta and Universal Music Group have signed an expanded global, multi-year licensing deal for UMG’s music to be used across all of Meta’s social platforms. It’s also the first time WhatsApp has been included in a deal.

SAG-AFTRA has struck a deal with AI startup Narrativ, which “sets a new standard for ethical use, making it easy for performers to license their voice replicas (to the AI advertising marketplace) and get paid.” Read more

• 💡 SAG-AFTRA, or Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, is a labor union that represents about 160,000 media professionals around the world.
